A new birth control method for men

The US National Institutes of Health announced that scientists are testing a new method of contraception for men. In the statement made by the Institute, it was announced that the new method product was a gel. The tests carried out for the product include 420 pairs. Authorities, the male's energy in the gel and without losing the libido of the formation of sperm, preventing the formation of two kinds of hormones and applied to the back of the region was applied, he said. Diana Blithe, who heads the birth control development program at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, said: “The gel contains progestin and testosterone hormones. Condoms have a failure rate of up to 13 percent. When we look at the hormonal measures, we see that this rate drops to 7 percent. If men have the choice of their own birth control methods, this may be a more appropriate option for some of them.

WHY GEL?

The reason why hormones are injected into the body using a gel is because the pills quickly discard the testosterone hormone from the body. Nestoron, the progestin hormone in the gel, blocks testosterone only in the area where the sperm is produced and continues to circulate in the blood, replacing testosterone nestoron in the rest of the body. Thus, all functions except sperm continue to function in the same way. If the tests are successful, a new form of contraception will appear and the roles and responsibilities of men and women in family planning will be more equal.

WHEN TO USE?
Scientists conducting the research announced that the test would last for a year. Tara Narula, one of the doctors in the team, said that the gel had entered the test phase for the first time and that it should be worked on for a long time.
